queen and the darkness do have a resemblance dumb ass. justin and dan hawkins were in many bands, but never together. on millenium eve 2000, justin sprang to his feet and sang along to bohemium rhapsody and contemporary dancing and in the words of dan "acting like a complete tw*t". thats when they realised they needed to make a band together. queen has been the darkness's biggest inspiration. and whichever of you assh*les think there taking the mick, your wrong. they are just open and express their ideas in a much more full on way than any bands would ever do today. brian may and justin hawkins are great friends anyway. lol |

Its actually about a blind man who has just lost his wife, Eileen. It sounds like he's feeling suicidal. "Since Eileen died, the other side seems so appealing" as in, he'd rather be with his wife than on his own and living. I'm not sure about the deaf bit, I think it's the darkness being ironic. lol |
