this is a good song. its seems to me that he is over whelmed with thoughts that counter dict his own. like things changing his Religion and maybe his way of life. I think if it Challenges you to think differently doesn't make it a bad thing. I despise Religion and Hate blind following. remember to think and not to feel like you're betraying God by challenging what you been told to be true. A belief is a thought, Not away of life. don't just choose to love god, find reason for loving him, & DO NOT block out the bad in life, because it is just as important as the Good! Remember what you see and hear comes from people, even some of the sickest and most unimaginable things. they were thought of in the minds of men and sometimes acted out. when the Davinci Code movie came out, we had Religious people protesting the movie say that people that see the movie are gonna think that is what happen. so what if they do! people that go to church tend to think that what is preached to them is the truth! keep an open mind and don't live under God or Jesus's shadow! I think if you cant Question Gods will and find the real reason for liking the man or the object than..why love him? there is no love in Fear and if you fear to challenge god or what you been told to be true than there is no sense in having LOVED GOD. some christian are good people and some claim to be. Satan is what you think he is...remember if Satan was bad and you are a bad person, than you have something in common and might just get along great...much like with Jesus and God. Tool also did a song called Flood and here are the lyrics to it. Here comes the water. All I knew and all I believed are crumbling images that no longer comfort me. I scramble to reach higher ground, some order and sanity, or something to comfort me. So I take what is mine,and hold what is mine, suffocate what is mine, and bury what's mine. They're a very good group for people that want a different prospective of reality or thought. don't love god because of fear, don't love God because your told to, and don't love god for the Good things in life and blame Lucifer for the bad! things are thought up by man, not told to man by God or the Demons... remember if GOD only wanted you to love him unconditionally, than i have no love for him. if you don't sin you have nothing to fear weather you love god/Jesus or not. Do think what makes Aenima the best Tool album is because it had the most fillers? I think this is the most complete Tool album, its the one you listen to and always find something new. I have own this cents the release and have been addicted to it cents its release. I think the fillers do so much to this album and give a whole neath level of depth. with out these i think this would have felt like the rest of their albums, that end before your ready. does any one else think that this is Tool's most complete album? if this isn't your favorite Tool album, sorry i just wasted your time. |

Wow this song is amazing!! you guys and gals have covered my thoughts on this masterpiece! i never got this song until i stopped thinking and just relaxed. the best way for me to do that was to listen to Disposition first, which goes hand in hand with this song. i have to say that this song is as close to peace as i think i can get. the beginning drums just throw me in to this dark hole and my emotions began to build as i think of my own life. the place this song puts me is dark but is so calm and so right. when Maynard begins to sing i feel as if i'm sinking deeper into my own depression and hit rock bottom as MJK says "I may find peace within the emptiness" as the song progresses my thoughts get heavier all the way up to "The moon tells me a secret" that for me is like a bit of hope. as the moon tells him the secret it gives me the power to progresses and to push through the muck in life to find that we are all one and are all alike weather we want it that way or not. the point where the drums change its like im being lifted out of that hole and into the light. "I feel reborn" Tool is a great group i don't look at Maynard as a god, but the band Tool has helped me more than "almighty" has. i am very happy to see that people get this "Tool" and it affects them. i think we all can agree that the music out now is just "beggin for your fatass dirty dolled up dollar" my favorite way to experience Tool is while driving down a road that is in the middle of no where and is like the road of life. ps. the (live) version is more amazing than the cd one. |
