sirens is like a post-hardcore version of wilco's yankee hotel foxtrot. amazing album. like it channels the raw emotions that were ripping the band apart while they recorded it. on one hand i'm sad that it never found a bigger audience, and on the other i'm happy because we don't have to share it :). |

Anybody want to bet on whether or not the whole "don't call my name out the window" bit is a Johnny Cash tribute (cribbed from Understand Your Man)? Not sure if it is, but would somehow make it even better if 'twas true. Great song. Great band. At least on this album, anyway (sigh). |

I can't believe that no one has commented on this song. "Sirens" is an amazing album and OTMOP are sorely missed. Incredible. Like a fucking David Lynch movie put to audio tape. Always thought he said 'eviction' though, not extinction... |
