I just played this song over and over today. Its taken me a good 12 years to take to WMS. I saw the tour about 3 places when it came out,but just happened to pop this song in the other day and like someone just said,"Its like a bullet to the head".
Great song. My other 'sad" Cure songs are Last day of Summer and Untitled. |

When I hear PJ Harvey's voice it just sounds as if she is really in pain and it comes through in her lyrics and her music. The same as the song Missed.
As far as the actual lyrics are concerned. I think it may be about a woman who at any cost is trying to maintain the relationship she has with her lover even if it means sharing him. Sister Soulja has a similar idea in her book ( just an FYI) |

This could mean a few things. It could mean a sibling telling his sister to be wary of the world and all of its desires or it could be about the world and it's evolution. Father teach your children could be about ecology and treating the earth with respect. The sun will turn to waste represents global warming. Brenden is singing about how we must protect our world and is asking those who knew it in the past to remember how it once was. But thats just one gal's interpretation. |

This song is about drama class in the 10th grade and feeling so insecure about ourselves. Why Cat Stevens became a Muslim is probably the same as why people turn towards religion everyday. They seek something higher than themselves. What a wonderful uplifting song though. |

This song says so much,but an interview with Robert Smith that I heard him say it was about a fire that he had at the studio and he and the band had to put wet towels around their heads and try and go back in to safe some things.Some of which were pictures. Such a beautiful song though and so many menories stir up for me when I listen to it. I couldve cried when I heard it on an HP commercial..I mean are they that deseperate for money? |
