I sat and watched as you decayed
Then turned to walk away
The saddest thing I've seen
Pathetic as the human race
Ashamed to be the same
As all you fucking pigs

Give me that feeling that I love
You can be my only
Give me that feeling that I know so well

Dopamine to help me weed the pain
Don't wanna feel the sting no more
I don't believe a word you even say
I'm leading you astray
There's something better, watch it through that door

Don't ever try and get between
Me and what I need, so ugly when I feed
Pathetic as a human being
Ashamed to be the same
We carry all a name

Give me that feeling that I love
You can be my only
Give me that feeling that I know so well

Dopamine to help me weed the pain
Don't wanna feel the sting no more
I don't believe a word you even say
I'm leading you astray
There's something better, watch it through that door

I'm using you, you're using me
We use the world to feed the beast

Dopamine to help me weed the pain
Don't wanna feel the sting no more
I don't believe a word you even say
I'm leading you astray
There's something better, watch it through that door
There's something better, watch it through that door
There's something better, watch it through that door

    Song Meaning

Sean Danielsen of Smile Empty Soul:

"The video just portrays an addiction to media and ignoring personal relationships, it keeps it pretty simple, but the song is about a lot of things combined into one thing. I like to allow people to judge what they think the song might mean with the lyrics, I won’t go too deep into it, but I always try to put more than one meaning into my songs these days, to find it to be a little fun exercise."

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
