I have seen the rain
I have felt the pain
I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
I don't know where I'm going
I don't even know where I've been
But I know I'd like to see them again

[Chorus]
Spend my days just searching
Spend my nights in dreams
Stop looking over my shoulder baby
I stopped wondering what it means.
Drop out, burn out, sold your home
Oh they said I should've been more
Probably so if I hadn't been in that crazy damn Vietnam war

I have seen the rain
I've survived the pain
Oh I've been home 30 years or so
And I'm just stepping off of the plane

[Chorus]

We have seen the rain together
We survived the pain forever
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to be with my friends
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to feel that rain

I thought it was 'and I'm just stepping off of the plane' not 'I'm just stepping up for the blame.'

Also, if he wrote it while he was there how come he says, 'I've been home 30 years or so'?

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
