We've come a long way
But we're not too sure where we've been
Tudutu
We've had success (tudutu), we've had good times (tudutu)
But remember this (tudutu)

Been on this path of life for so long
Feel I've walked a thousand miles
Sometimes strolled hand in hand with love
Everybody's been there

With danger on my mind I would stand on the line of hope
And I knew I could make it
Once I knew the boundaries I looked into the clouds and saw
My face in the moonlight

Just then I realized what a fool I could be
Just 'cause I look so high you don't have to see me
Finding a paradise wasn't easy but still
There's a road going down the other side of this hill

Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream

Safe from the arms of disappointment for so long
Feel each day we've come too far
Yet each day seems to make much more
Sure is good to be here

I understand the meaning of "I can't explain this feeling" now
And it feels so unreal
At night I see the hand that reminds me of the stand that I made
The fact of reality (oh)

Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream

We've come so far and we've reached so high
And we've looked each day and night in the eye
And we're still so young and we hope for more
But remember this

We're not invincible, we're not invincible, no
We're only people, we're only people
Hey we're not invincible, we're not invincible
So again I tell you

Never forget where you've come here from
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream
This will be someone else's dream

Never, never forget where
Never pretend that it's all real
Someday soon this will all be someone else's dream (woah)
This will be someone else's dream

Never, everybody sing, oh baby
Never, no never, never forget for love
Someday, louder, louder, louder, louder loud

Oh (woah)
Never, everybody sing that song
Never, yeah louder, louder, louder now
Someday, come on, come on, everybody, everybody
Everybody, everybody, everybody (woah)

i read somewhere Gary Barlow wrote this song when he was coming to the realisation that Take That were soon to be over and that the line "Someday soon this will all be someone elses dream" was refering to the fact he realised that soon Take That would no longer be the 'top' boyband and someone else would take their place

this song was written bout take that, saying that they've been famous for so long and gone so far, and gary is telling you to never forget where u came from (grew up) and where u are now, and that many people want to be famous and only a few can be where they are. and that, take that are enjoying every moment of it.

don't take what you've got for granted becasue if you do, someone else will beat you to it. i think this is about take that saying they remember where they come from, and even now they're on the top they aren;t gonna switch off and they will keep on working hard because they know that if they don't someone else will knock them off, they;re not invincible!

I'm not really fussed about the ture meaning of this song to be honest. I had my Prom last night and in the limo on the way back, and it just made us all think that things come to an end, but you should never forget. It makes me cry everytime I listen to it. It just makes me remember all the good times we have had throughout the years.

I understand the meaning of "I can't explain this feeling" Now it feels so unreal

I understand that meaning too. I can't explain how much I will miss all of my friends from my school. And even though they were only in my life for about 5 years, they all made an impact. I'll miss them all.

    xx

This to me will forever be Sherlock Holmes's and Doctor Watson's song.

    Song Meaning

This song is Take That's story...Or should i say Take Thats 'Anthem'....It's so beautiful and uplifting with the choir adding that gospel feel...

Gary said he wrote it when he was realizing that Take That was coming to an end...It's about their journey from beginning to end as a band, and not taking what they had for granted and accepting that 'Someday this will all be someone else's dream'....It resonates with anyone who gets it...It could also be 'your' journey cause it recalls the change from youth into adulthood, and having to move forward in life.

    My Interpretation

This is one of the few Take That songs I actually like.

It is very clever. It's about anyone who has made it to the top of their career, as Take That had done.

It's there way of saying that even though they're at the top of the game they are only there for a short time, no-one is invincible.

At the moment it is their time, but they haven't forgot that at any moment they could be on the other side of that hill coming down whilst someone else comes forward.

No matter who you are now, you might be Mark Zucherberg, Bill Gates, Gary Barlow, Paul McCartney or even Google, you always have to face the reality that at this present time you may be riding on the peak of your career, but at any moment that career could come to an end as it has happened at numerous times in the past and will continue to happen, so you never forget your original roots and where you come from.

By Gary singing this he is saying that even though he now is a millionaire with a big mansion in the middle of the Cheshire countryside, he doesn't forget that everyone in Take That originally came from just general housing in Manchester, and it was just luck that they were discovered and managed to live the dream.

Of course if you look at another Manchester artist - Liam Gallagher - his attitude is very different he is like oh yeah Oasis are big, I'm big, and he's gone that big headed that he even ditched his brother Noel and has clearly forgot all about the people who managed to get him where he is, and judging by his performance at the Olympics it might be that his popularity will be taking a very severe dive 'cos his performance of the Oasis hit Wonderwall at the closing ceremony was the worst I've ever heard.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
