to me this is a song about running from your problems and telling yourself that your problem could be fix if u changed that really has nothing to do with it (ei i would be happier with the fact that i don't like who i am if i changed where i lived~tho no one thinks up front like that but deep down they do...) but not wanting to hurt the ppl that will get hurt if u run..or thinking that if u stay you'll end up hurting them...
