This song is about being in a new environment to get away from someone, but they seem to find you, and you don't want to hurt them, or let them down by not being able to give them something. But, you accept it, and you learn to live with it.
i think tim pagnotta wrote this about having to move a lot as a child. it's about pretending to be happy not only to other people so you don't hurt them, but also to yourself.

to me this is a song about running from your problems and telling yourself that your problem could be fix if u changed that really has nothing to do with it (ei i would be happier with the fact that i don't like who i am if i changed where i lived~tho no one thinks up front like that but deep down they do...) but not wanting to hurt the ppl that will get hurt if u run..or thinking that if u stay you'll end up hurting them...
to make what i said up their simpler..its about running from a relationship..at least thats what i get...but then again i have that proble so if someone else has someother problem they run from it can fit there too, i bet...
