Many of the important lyrics as written here are wrong. The lyric is "How does it feel like to be a Crystalline". And "Scream a symphony" A gutter might have a negative connotation and Im not sure what they mean there but a gutter doesn't have to be negative, it could be a reference to "Turn off your mind relax and float downstream" (see below) People hearing crystal meth addiction are projecting your own ideas on the lyrics (which is fine), but just because its used in a movie (salton sea) 3 years after the song was released during a drug scene doesnt make it about crystal meth. It could be about anything. People saying its about meth or addiction, I feel like you are missing the point of the song. I feel like its alot more about feeling one with the universe (which could be an acid trip, or meth, or a sober person connecting with everything and just being conscious that they exist that they breathe with everything that they are a crystalline, turtles all the way down, etc etc beginning to the end to the beginning infinite and infinitesimal etc etc) As someone noted, refer to The Beatles Tomorrow Never Knows, the similarities between the two songs are undeniable, even down to the drum beat, listen to 00:25-00:28 in Let Forever Be and then listen to 00:05-00:08 in Tomorrow Never Knows. The lyrics are extremely similar and convey the same idea, in my opinion: The Beatles - "Tomorrow Never Knows Turn off your mind relax and float down-stream It is not dying, it is not dying Lay down all thought surrender to the void It is shining, it is shining That you may see the meaning of within It is being, it is being That love is all and love is everyone It is knowing, it is knowing That ignorance and haste may mourn the dead It is believing, it is believing But listen to the color of your dreams It is not living, it is not living Or play the game "existence" to the end Of the beginning, of the beginning Of the beginning, of the beginning Of the beginning, of the beginning Of the beginning" Source: LyricFind Songwriters: John Lennon / Paul McCartney
