I've always deemed this a feminist anthem. keep reading and challenge any assumptions such statements likely prompt, please The lyrics posted consistently contain several typos, first and foremost being "I've got a friend with a MALADY that will kill . . . " It's pretty clear why some may interpret multiple personality disorder from such an introductory statement, but honestly, who doesn't possess or contain within them multiple "personalities" i.e. facets or potentials of self? I feel from this song the expressing, if not a "healthier" means of releasing powerfully destructive and agro emotions. I deem it "feminist" mosty on the bases of: 1) all female ensemble (blatant), 2) the lyrics "I make room for everyone . . . I need to take a break," encompasses the typically "feminine" attributes of nurturing, caretaking and self-lessness, 3) "we'll kill you, rip you up and tear you in two" reflecting natural examples of vicious feminine brutality (notably amongst aracnids, mantis, lioness and Wuornos, to name a few). I feel this song emphasises having reached a "boiling point," primarily from a feminine perspective. "Sex" aside, everyone has a cap for the amount of shit they'll take, and ideally, expressing and addressing those tensions prior to reaching a full blow out, "keeps it healthy", while in the scope of our life experiences we are constantly "discovering" where those boundaries lie.
