I think this is about someone being approached by the god they thought they new their whole life & he instead presents himself as demonic being. After this encounter begin to only hear the voices of darkness ringing loudly throughout their brain, this god they thought they knew growing up, is actually one more akin to Satan. This now unmasked god to them now strives to shape them into a version of himself.
