How about considering a deeper meaning?
What if it the song causes us to pause and reflect on the events in our life and how they brought us to where we are? Might we perhaps consider the Creator who says He "inhabits eternity" and "knows the end from the beginning"?
Rock stars aren't theologians, but the Spirit which hovered over the earth at it's creation still works in the minds of men and inspires things they themselves are unaware of.
Just my 2¢.
@ChetMorton could very well be, although personally I take it more from a personal level, that is we are each here for a purpose / reason. It may not be clear to us, and perhaps it takes someone's perspective to realise it.
