This is probably my favorite song off Money Shot, being more of an APC fan I love everything Maynard does and this song stands out a bit to me off this album which I really like as well.

Keenan's lyrics can be interpreted so many different ways, and nobody's opinion or feelings or beliefs are wrong which is why I love all of Maynard's music.

Carina Round is amazing on this track. I at first thought that it was a him vs her thing, but being Maynard I feel it is honestly just more of how spoiled how the youth of today and younger generations just act and believe that they know everything.

Everyone today is a master of everything (thanks to the internet and the time we live in). People with little to no experience in regards to ANY trade, subject, skills, etc... are just masters and know more than their elders. We deal with it everyday, being in my late 30s, having 15+ years of experience in my job field... now we have children with little to no experience popping out of nowhere, with YouTube on-the-go educations trying to tell their superiors, colleagues, elders, and so forth how and why things need to be done... basically a bunch of children telling the adults how to do their jobs out of nowhere.

I'm probably absolutely wrong, but that's how I feel... I don't know if the song is a back and forth between the two, one side being the elders or ones who will be delivering the stitches and the "remedy".

As for the "haters" and "isolators" I guess that is a 2-way street and where it gets confusing.... all I know is that I'd hope or at least believe that the majority of listeners feel similar and when it comes to the "You speak like you've never been knocked the F out..." is so absolutely in regards to the senior majority, the veterans of their fields and the ones who have lived through whatever, put their time in, and not only know what they are talking about, but know what they are doing.... versus some rookies (children to be honest) that pop out of college, or literally never went to college and just come into your place of work.

Whether it's work, school, a sport, whatever the case... we all know that there are way too many individuals out there who need to be put in their place.... there is just so much cockiness and sense of false pride that needs to be dropped by the younger generation.

Everyone just feels like they automatically out-reign everyone they come in contact with. Being 35 I'm not necessarily old, I'm not bitter, but this song certainly sounds like what I'd love to say or do to someone who has maybe 3-4 years experience to my 15+.

Do not tell me how to do my job because you watched a damned YouTube video 5 minutes ago in the bathroom and are now a "know it all". 35 sadly isn't even that old, but compared to 24-25 year olds who have little to no experience, yeah they need a "remedy".... and that's just how I feel, which is why I love Maynard and literally everything he does.

My Interpretation

@apcfan22 he didn't write the lyrics IDIOT!

@Gfyic Whether he "wrote" them or not what he did with them was amazing.. is it really necessary to call someone an idiot over the computer for something so silly... meh well if it makes you feel better about yourself... I feel bad for you otherwise!

@apcfan22 yes what he and his band does with the material is astounding. My beef is that you reply on the same page that states he didn't write the lyrics yet your response was 100% reliant on the belief he did. Yes he probably had a lot to do with orchestrating the end product, but all your theories are meaningless and at best a shot in the dark over any personal meaning to Maynard. Saying that I'll apologise for the name calling, but you have to admit it was pretty stupid.
