I believe this song to be about someone who is gradually destroying themselves by simply floating through life aimlessly instead of truly living. They talk a big game, they wanna do all these great, adrenaline pumping things but when the time comes for them to live out that fire inside of them, they become more of a blur ('motion draining images') then a rock star. Essentially it's saying don't live in fear of your ultimate destiny, whatever it may be.
