To add to @NeXEkho comments. The Great Wave of Kanagawa could be inspiration for the song ... insofar that it is telling the story perhaps of the boatman in the painting.
All the things the boatman wished they had said, or would say. In effect it is a moral story that we should not take for granted that we will return later to make amend for our wrongs / or misplaced words. Therefore, we must ensure we live in the now instead of waiting.
