@SonataFanatica Obviously the song was written long before it was released. Bowie began writing the songs for the Blackstar album right after he was finished with The Next Day. Recording of Blackstar began at the beginning of 2015, so I don't think Bowie foresaw the exact day of his death; it's just a weird coincidence.

@jltc008 You do know that albums are ALWAYS released on Fridays, right? During the process of writing and recording the album, David Bowie reportedly suffered 6 heart attacks. He knew damn well that when the album would be released, he could let go.
