This song is just about this guy and his relationship with this girl and how she can sometimes turn his life on his head and make it terrible he is still convinced that he's better off staying then leaving. Maybe this is where the Greek Tragedy bit is meant to relate; how despite all the problems in Greece there are at the moment many people don't leave because of their love for that country just like this guy has for this girl.
