It seems pretty straight forward that this song is just about a guy who only sees his lover every so often since his work must take him places. It mentions how he'll wait for her and everything in between seeing her is simply just killing time. |

This song simply tells the story of how he/she once was friends with someone and for a reason unknown to him/her, she/he has used what he/she has said to turn his friends against him who are now fading away from him.
The first time I heard this song, which was about a month after the film clip came out, a girl I was once friends did this exact same thing to me. This song pretty much summed it up, great song. |

This song is just about this guy and his relationship with this girl and how she can sometimes turn his life on his head and make it terrible he is still convinced that he's better off staying then leaving. Maybe this is where the Greek Tragedy bit is meant to relate; how despite all the problems in Greece there are at the moment many people don't leave because of their love for that country just like this guy has for this girl. Many of the things he says such as "build a water slide when they I get home" are probably relating to how near impossible and unrealistic his expectations and hopes are for this girl are. |
