Cover art for Style lyrics by Taylor Swift

It's a relationship (most likely friends with benefits) that's just a vicious cycle - he disappears and reappears as he likes, basically calling the shots - but neither can fully quit it or each other. And in the end, they ignore all the red flags and repeated mistakes because they both want each other (though it may be a more emotional attachment on her side).

It kills me because I'm going through this right now. He's a total mindf*** and I should have exited stage left months ago, but I can't help but stick with it for the few good moments. And it doesn't matter if I ask for advice or not from others, because I'm just going to stay the course in hopes that he'll call again. Thank goodness Taylor can adequately express what I cannot. (And write a simple bridge that I can yell along with in the car, haha.)

Memory

@fadedmemories14 I think you're right about the meaning of the song. To comment about being in an fwb relationship. ..it makes it worse than a prostitute. ..at least there is some kind of exchange. Why waste youth being unloved when there are honest people who will love you? Fwbs are asking for it...years of therapy for no really good reason. There are plenty of fish in the sea.
