Opposition to conformity is another type of conformity. Being punk is about being yourself. About not sacrificing who you are to fit in. Showing what you think on the outside. If to you that means spiking your hair and peircing yourself, by all means, go ahead. If its not, don't do it just because you want to follow everyones' perception of what "Punk" is.
