Getting involved in a religion gives us a sense of belonging, we are no longer alone but included in a loving society that generally helps others. When other people are helped and we play a role in it, we may continue to pursue the basis on how this has occurred. Some people that have obsessive type personalities may turn their involvement in Christianity into a full-time avocation. Being obsessed we may also become a bit more close minded and our entire perspective in life becomes one-tracked.
