I don't want to sound to messed up saying this but idk this song could be about suicide.
"Pick it up, pick it all up.
And start again.
You've got a second chance,
You could go home.
Escape it all.
It's just irrelevant."
This is right before he is about to kill himself, he's thinking he does have another option, he can go home, he has a second chance, he can start again.
"It's just medicine.
It's just medicine."
That's him just thinking to himself. He has decided he is going to kill himself, he is going to take all the panadol in front of him and overdose. And hey, after all, it is just medicine.
"You could still be,
What you want to,
What you said you were
When I met you."
He's taken all of the panadol now. It would take a day or so for all the paracetamol to be taken up by his body, and for the effects to be irreversible before he dies. However he still has the chance to save himself. He could go to hospital and get his stomach pumped or get all the panadol removed before it breaks down. The guy still has a chance to be who he always wanted to be, to be who he was when he met her.
"You've got a warm heart,
You've got a beautiful brain,
But it's disintegrating
From all the medicine.
From all the medicine.
From all the medicine.
Medicine."
It's sad because this guy was really sweet and caring and had a beautiful personality. He had so much potential and hope in his life ahead of him. But that's all slowly fading as the panadol starts working inside his body and it becomes too late to turn back.
@Tybrah I agree with you, but I perceive the word "medicine" as an analogyn of like therapy and good affirmations from people. Like "It's just medicine" would mean that what the people are telling you is lies to try and make you feel better.

@Tybrah I am with you. You got this thing said so right. I was just listening this song at lake and thinking about suicide, how it won't gonna effect anything in the world, especially when I'm not too much sad when I'm dying. You are right.
