I don't want to sound to messed up saying this but idk this song could be about suicide. "Pick it up, pick it all up. And start again. You've got a second chance, You could go home. Escape it all. It's just irrelevant." This is right before he is about to kill himself, he's thinking he does have another option, he can go home, he has a second chance, he can start again. "It's just medicine. It's just medicine." That's him just thinking to himself. He has decided he is going to kill himself, he is going to take all the panadol in front of him and overdose. And hey, after all, it is just medicine. "You could still be, What you want to, What you said you were When I met you." He's taken all of the panadol now. It would take a day or so for all the paracetamol to be taken up by his body, and for the effects to be irreversible before he dies. However he still has the chance to save himself. He could go to hospital and get his stomach pumped or get all the panadol removed before it breaks down. The guy still has a chance to be who he always wanted to be, to be who he was when he met her. "You've got a warm heart, You've got a beautiful brain, But it's disintegrating From all the medicine. From all the medicine. From all the medicine. Medicine." It's sad because this guy was really sweet and caring and had a beautiful personality. He had so much potential and hope in his life ahead of him. But that's all slowly fading as the panadol starts working inside his body and it becomes too late to turn back. |

Taking a different approach here.. The girl is in love with this boy, and he is in love with the girl also. But the girl is depressed and suicidal and she can't help it, she's tried getting help before and nothing worked and noone was ever there for her. She finally had this one guy in her life she could tell everything to. But her bad thoughts and depression started slowly getting worse and the boy couldn't deal with them anymore. He didn't know how he could help her anymore, so he tells her that they should just be friends until she gets to a better place emotionally and then they can be together. The boy won't talk to her as much after that, he won't take her hand, he won't hug her. That was the only thing getting the girl through beforehand. The girl feels abandoned. She may as well be "Thrown in the water" "Pushed out to sea" "left on the tracks" “And this is torturous” The girl is really struggling. She has a reason to get happy, which is to be with him, but she doesn’t have him by her side helping her to get there, so she’s stuck. “Electricity between both of us” They both still love eachother. “And this is dangerous” Without him there for her, she won’t get the help she needs. Her suicidal thoughts would grow stronger and she would be at a greater risk of killing herself. “Cos I want you so much” She wants him so much. She wants to be happy with him. So she wants so much to get help for herself so she is able to be with him when she’s better. “But I hate your guts” Problem is, without him she can’t get better. She hates him for doing this. She feels alone and scared, worried now that because of him not being there she will finally kill herself. |
