I think "King" fits pretty well if you hear the context of the lyrics, I think its about someone who's blaming his religion (a God, cause he is referring to one person) to have responsibility of all the bad things he has passed through. Keeps questioning "His" existence ("... Why do you hide behind somebody else?")and saying that himself is the only one who has power over him (referring himself as the "king"). Maybe not in that order, but that's what I think it is. I'm an atheist by the way (the kind of atheist that doesn't mean to offend any religion, I know and believe that religion is necessary in so many ways, even though I don't believe in any religion), but I'm not insulting religion, and i think that if that's the real meaning of the lyrics, Jim wouldn't be offending it neither (I actually think he's a very religious person), cause he is kind of judging people that misinterprets religion by judging it by how they feel.
