This is one of my favorites of hers and she has impressed me musically with quite a few tracks. This song makes me think of Coming Down by The Weeknd and My Boots by Lights. It's especially about not wishing to be used; rather, to be appreciated and desired and loved for who she is not for what she can do (or does) for another. Being a buddy or nurse or nanny or mother or confidant is not the role that flatters her. Many women are nurturers by nature (some of us feel both blessed and cursed with our comfort in using the title to describe ourselves), but most wish to be viewed as women first and foremost...that means we want to be loved/appreciated for our personalities; our looks (some of us have good looks and some of us do not, but we get by); our sexuality; etc. Alison's song, I believe, speaks for many women...
I do believe that would fall under 'sexuality.' I can't imagine sex without hugs and kisses, although I'm not sure I even recall what sex is now that I think about it :( Gee, thanks for having me think about something I had worked hard to forget. And what's a fake hug? Forget it....I know; my former inlaw used to always kiss me on the cheek while patting my back.

Hello. In what century were you born? People don't wait until their marriage day to have their first kiss ;) Then again, there are still arranged marriages. As for bear hugs for friends, that falls into that non-longing role. It's not a fun role.
