The song is about someone who's not alone. If it's a Christian band than it's God's love and grace that is with him/her. To an atheist, the song could be about a romantic partner. The fact that the word "honey" is used sounds rather condesending, so I'm more inclinded to believe this is not a song about God. May I suggest the REGULAR use of a condom:)
Ugh. As a Catholic I shouldn't have pushed the latex. But, when people are drunk and/or high and are perfecting their pick-up lines, I doubt they'll be interested in the rhythm method. They'd have to care enough about the other person first.
