At arm's length, you held your spouse and children
Your lake of grace so nearly killed them
Forgiveness still breathes, but may not wake for years
You promise me still that this won't end in tears

'Cause we're alone, no we're not alone, now honey
Save your own 'cause we're not alone

Back home to find the garden as you left it
Roses in full bloom, so glad you invested
So you found, this room couldn't hold you down
Stepped through these walls and listen for the sound

Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
Save your own 'cause we're not alone
Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
We'll make it home, 'cause we're not alone

Hold us close, it meant so much
Maybe more than you knew
Laugh a while, burn like fire
Love us again just like you used to
Sing so loud, make us proud
Please say just what you heard
Listen closer, hold your tongue
Your tired eyes speak louder than words
Speak louder than words, come on, oh...

Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
Save your own 'cause we're not alone
Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
We'll make it home 'cause we're not alone

Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
Save your own 'cause we're not alone
No! Not alone, no we're not alone, now honey
We'll make it home, 'cause we're not alone

General CommentIf you haven't noticed, Seabird's a Christian band. If you think outside the box, you'll find out the meaning.

I think it's about how we're not alone in this world and God's always there.

    Here's the story:

A man left his family, felt the shame, asked for forgiveness, and came back, but his life wasn't the same because of it. The bridge is viewing it in the children's eyes. They want their old dad back again.

Now, on to the Christian meaning. We always leave God, we don't like to admit it. But, we feel the guilt, ask for forgiveness, and He takes us back.

Seabird's gonna be huge! I call it!

General CommentThe song is about someone who's not alone. If it's a Christian band than it's God's love and grace that is with him/her. To an atheist, the song could be about a romantic partner. The fact that the word "honey" is used sounds rather condesending, so I'm more inclinded to believe this is not a song about God. May I suggest the REGULAR use of a condom:)
