In the first two paragraph's-
its about a satan speaking to the people or the followers of god....
he is trying to establish his supremacy over people....like he is possesing a city by showing his power n sayin that god is dead. He can heal the problems of the people but god cant....satan is telling the masses to take the road where the devil's speak i.e. devil's rule.finally he rules the songwriter
Last para-
its difficult to interpret but i think it means dat the songwriter who got posessed by satan has now managed to free himself(demons fade from the hole)...he is blinded by the darkness of the evil and is in the search of truth i.e. light...saw the signs interwined means the 'cross' who helped him forgive all the sins...
still in the end its written god is dead....but maybe its just to keep the poetic effect...
