The lyrics tend to be on an optimistic approach ("Rather die in your arms then die lonesome") side yet the instrumental and her vocals bring on the despair of the track. I'm going to have to agree with ananixon, it's most definitely about everlasting love, beyond the after life and as far as the universe goes.
