I know how I remember this song is nothing close to its actual interpretation, but this is what always plays in my mind. About two years ago a friend of mine got pregnant by this guy she was friends w/benefits with, and showed up at my house at 2 in the morning bawling her eyes. Trouble is, she actually had deeper feelings for him...and she wasn't the only girl he was playing.

My friend didn't have the heart to go through with an abortion, and I didn't want to force her either. But when I asked her why she hadn't been a little more careful, she said she thought 'nothing would happen' (I facepalmed a little inside at that).

Then when she told him, he told her to fuck off...and not to bother trying to have anything to do with him ever again.

Now my friend has an adorable 1 and a half year old son, and suprise suprise, she hasn't heard from that idiot since. Last I heard, he's still playing. So, this song does kind of have a negative connection for me, but at the same time it reminds me of something absolutely wonderful that happened as a result- i.e., my friend's son <3 :)
