For me its like addiction.the lyrics about the streetlights and the graves make me imagine the typical spot where someone would do drugs.The fireballs like the power of how dangerous it is.trying to reach out to that person who you love? "I just wana hold you and tell you that its gona be tough" like trying to get through without it. Its like hes singing to people who are lost and under the power of addiction in any shape or form.

Haunting guitar, great groove to this sone. @swatties - on one level, I agree with this interpretation - its the first thing I thought of too. However, unless he's a wandering do-gooder walking the streets intent on helping others out of addiction, I think some of the other ideas posted above might work as well.

One last thought that might tie the two together: he is wandering as his band tours, and he does have the platform to speak to thousands of people (many of whom might be suffering with addiction,) at the same time. So it might make...

@Swatties In just about every song meaning I've ever read there is at lest one person who suggest 'addiction" That is testimony to how powerful it can be. No matter what side of the fence you are on. Active or recovery. Both side envelope us. It's kind of like when you're following in love. Everything you hear, think , do, or say is in those terms.
