In my case it relates so well to a relationship I had with my best friend. Over span of my life so far, we would get so close she would never take that last step! She profess her love to me but always went back to whatever douche bag she was dating and complaining to me at the time. This year it finally put too much stress on the friendship and we stop talking for both our well being. I could never figure out who I was to her and I dunno who she is to me at all. from all our history together to the bad expeirences we had in our lifes, made a relationship IMPOSSIBLE
