Whoah! I am shocked how many of you totally got it wrong.
The song is about the nonsense story of God and how people believe it based on ludicrous stories from the bible that explain nothing. In other words, when you try to seek answers from religion, you are either met with no answer or stories that explain nothing. The song starts with the sound of a broken record, get it?
Just look at the video of the song on YouTube. You will see that in the end, the angry questioners, eager for a response, see that the operator of God is just a man behind a curtain. In other words, the Bible, the answers religious folks give to the meaning of life, are just a charade put on by other humans. It's a hoax, a rip-off.
@unbelievablelines Agreed, it is a great song. Your interpretation of it though, is a shallow and opportunistic act reflective of any self-respecting "Humanist".

@michaelbcn Are you suggesting that Brad Roberts who proclaims no religion wrote a song about the glory of God? So I am assuming you think it is about the wonders of God? LOL!

First of all, "God" and "Religion" are two entirely different things, by definition. Second, your assumption regarding my personal belief is what we call a "Logical Fallacy", as is that of Brad Roberts. "I don't give a s*** about God or Christmas" (the only mention by Roberts I can find) while reflective of a typical atheist attitude, is not grounds for making declarative statements about someone's beliefs that you don't know. It's like me making the definitive statement "I'm sure Brad Roberts would be rather perturbed to learn some loudmouth out there is using his music...

It's like me making the definitive statement "I'm sure Brad Roberts would be rather perturbed to learn some loudmouth out there is using his music to belittle potential fans. Right? Fact is, I don't know that. Finally, the song is not about "God", IMO. The song is about Man. The point of the song... as I see it is, "Shut the hell up and enjoy the nice picnic". Peter Pumpkinhead runs along the same lines... unfortunately there's not mention of God there, so no opportunity for you, eh? Hey if you can make "Mother Earth Suffled Her Feet" sound right, by all means, head to the recording studio and see how it works out.

Owing to this, it is a really great song.
