Absolutely great song. It reminds me of my brother who died a few years back and the great part of it is, that it provided me with a little more peace than I have managed to make on my own over the years with some of the lines in his song. I used to listen to The Offsprings 'Gone away' when I was thinking about him but now I see this is a much better song to listen to because simply of the line "And instead of mourning your death, I'd rather celebrate your life".
It's a much better way of thinking about it rather than a song that says 'Why, why, why - take me!' which I could only wish in my case. So now I will remember his life instead of his death and all the great times we had.
Forgive me for prejudging you, but it doesn't seem like you had the best relationship with your brother. Were you and him as close as you imagine Eminem and Proof are? Often people who are even siblings end up hating each other, and or they drift apart. I am wondering if that is you

@teehee my boyfriend died nearly 9 months ago. I feel the same about this song, and also connected to The Offsprings' Gone Away too. I definitely looked at the same line you did, "instead of mourning...celebrate your life" and for a moment had the same motivation you did. The "why why why" is such a true, real lingering feeling though. Hope you're finding some peace with the loss of your brother, even though the wound will never be fully healed.
