Absolutely great song. It reminds me of my brother who died a few years back and the great part of it is, that it provided me with a little more peace than I have managed to make on my own over the years with some of the lines in his song. I used to listen to The Offsprings 'Gone away' when I was thinking about him but now I see this is a much better song to listen to because simply of the line "And instead of mourning your death, I'd rather celebrate your life". It's a much better way of thinking about it rather than a song that says 'Why, why, why - take me!' which I could only wish in my case. So now I will remember his life instead of his death and all the great times we had. |
