I listened to this song for about three days on repeat, I can never get enough of PTV =) Anyway, I think this song is about loving someone that doesn't return your affection. Specifically, the writer is talking about someone who they love but already has a significant other.
"You decide there is so much more than me" means that the girl he loves puts others above him.
"And baby honestly its harder breathing next to you,I shake", he loves her so much that he has a hard time being near her
"What if I cant forget you?Ill burn your name into my throat,Ill be the fire that will catch you" I think he's saying that's what he would do to prove his love
"Whats so good about picking up the pieces? Knowing the colours thatll lie up in her mind before."
