To me this song is about opening up a door into the drug world for yourself and before you know it your trapped and there's no going back. You end up losing yourself, and everyone you ever cared about because this addiction takes over you and you no longer control your life anymore because the addiction does. When she says " What's done is done, this life has got it's hold on me." she is basically saying the drugs now control her life and she can't change the fact that she got herself into this mess because its already happend. and "No one else sees but I got stuck, and soon forever came." to me means that she got addicted and no one understood (because to understand you have to be an addict) and forever could either mean that she kills herself (which i doubt) or that she is now trapped in this same drug addict lifestyle/world forever and thats all she sees her life being capable of now so its forever because shes stuck aka "I got stuck, and soon forever came."
