The line "she spoke words that would melt in your hands" made me think of a little kid. Every once in a while they'll say something that just makes you melt, and it's unusual how wise it is. The kid is playing a game where she's on a mission, and she's hiding from her parents because she doesn't want to go out. And I'm not really sure they say car seat... But if they do, that just strengthens my theory.

@natique

your theory angers me a little. because it makes sense.. and i was hoping that the song would hold a deeper meaning then that. i mean technically the song means whatever you take from it, but still that theory holds a lot of sense :/

i always liked to think of "words that would melt in your hands" and "words of wisdom" meant like her words were cold hearted but true. like she spoke harsh words. idk, i feel like if thats the case the meaning is a lot deeper than just a kid playing games. i guess i should't...

Thats actually weird Cuz i got the same vibe about it being about a little kid but "words that would melt in your hands" and "words of wisdom" were Harsh words from the kids mother and so the kid goes and hides in the basement. Really Really good song though. The Band kinda reminds me of Minus the Bear and Death Cab For Cutie

@Hyperslasher1 lyric meanings are personal to you, it doesent even really matter what it was written about, its your interpretation of it
