I really dig this song too. It's not often that Deftones does something like this. But, I do see similarities in this song, along with "Be Quiet and Drive", "Cherry Waves", and "Ever" by Team Sleep.
To me, I feel that this song is about a girl, ex-wife maybe? Sounds like he's reminiscing, wanting things back. "Picture hours out from land, in tune with our dreams", like he's saying imagine us together, away from it all, in tune and in focus on ourselves, and nothing but. And the part, "Take me one more time, take me one more wave, take me one last ride", he's saying lets give it one more shot, one more chance. I don't know, I could be wrong. That's the way I perceive it.
