Floating on the water ever changing picture
Hours out from land
In tune with all our dreams

The ocean takes me in to watch you shake it
Watch you wave your powers
Tempt with hours of pleasure
Take me one more time
Take me one more wave
Take me for one last ride
I'm out of my head

Tonight, tonight
Tonight, tonight
The sound of the waves collide
The sound of the waves collide
The sound of the waves collide
Tonight we ride

Cruising through the city after hours
With me fusing all our powers
Here's to all our dreams
Take me one more time
Take me one more wave
Take me for one last ride
I'm out of my head

Tonight, tonight
Tonight, tonight
The sound of the waves collide
The sound of the waves collide
The sound of the waves collide
Tonight we ride

This song is absolutely perfect. I wonder if it would be a potential single. What a crazy name for a single. This song is BEAUTIFUL.

Well this song sounds pretty much like a follow up to Digital Bath since they both talk about a crazy night of sex with a chick he connects with. Either way this song is very deep and Chino sings like he never has before. Much love Deftones

Hands down the best song on the album. I'd love to see it as the next single.

I really dig this song too. It's not often that Deftones does something like this. But, I do see similarities in this song, along with "Be Quiet and Drive", "Cherry Waves", and "Ever" by Team Sleep.

To me, I feel that this song is about a girl, ex-wife maybe? Sounds like he's reminiscing, wanting things back. "Picture hours out from land, in tune with our dreams", like he's saying imagine us together, away from it all, in tune and in focus on ourselves, and nothing but. And the part, "Take me one more time, take me one more wave, take me one last ride", he's saying lets give it one more shot, one more chance. I don't know, I could be wrong. That's the way I perceive it.

this song is about a sensual experience... it's called sextape because he wants to remember it...

The tone of this song screams love song.

I think it is about making a sex tape with a lover.

I think it's kind of awesome the multiple meanings of waves collide. Waves of pleasure, tv waves, waves of sounds (screams, moans). Just people all mixed up in each other when they orgasm.

"Into with all our dreams" should be "In tune with all our dreams".

I'm pretty sure this song, like most Deftones songs, isn't meant to be taken literally. There are many metaphors, even contained within one song. The line in Sextape "the sound of the waves collide", could also mean sound waves colliding, like two people having orgasms. Bottom line is, you'll never know the "true" meaning of this song until Chino tells you himself. And even he may not know because as mentioned before, he does drugs, haha. The song is open to several interpretations, that's what makes it a good song. It sounds like a "sad" song because of Chino's tone, and voice in general. It's gorgeous, IMO.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
