Sick of trying to find a way inside Sick and tired of all the after Sick of trying ot find a way to slide Even though it always ends in laughter Its never hard to tell when things are done She looked into my eyes and a voice said RUN She says that im a mess but its alright Whether it's two weeks, two years or just tonight

He's saying that she recognizes that he's mentally disturbed. He does things to hurt her but she always comes back to him ("it ends in laughter"). There's something fun and charming about him. She knows that she should leave but is drawn to him.

Chorus: He's addicted to her. Obsessed in some perverse way.

Stanza 2: Even he knows they should break-up,he's unhappy in the relationship (i.e. looking for reasons to end it and threatening to end it). However, she wants him to stay because she's sick in her own way. Perhaps she stays with him because she believes she can help "fix" him.

Stanza 3: He's too fucked up for someone like her. Even though she's pretty, he's not attracted to her because she's not a psychological/dramatic mess. She's not what he wants from a relationship. "red-flags and long nights" suggest to me stress, drug abuse, and warning signs. Often times one can see the red-flags cast by a mentally disturbed partner quite early on in the relationship if only one is clued into the signs. "It's not my fault, its my style" indicates that he doesn't think there is anything wrong with him, he actually enjoys dysfunctional relationships. He's with her just because she's attractive and he seduced her with his smile.

Stanza 4: He's not into you he's into the idea of... (imagine some perverse sexual practice). Her friends (the objective indicators of the quality of our relationships) warn her against staying with him. However, she's not done with him. Nobody can tell that she's f'ed in the head, they think she "doesn't need a saving or a lay". Appearances are deceiving. Did he make her sick with his mental illness or was she already disturbed enough to continue desiring him (i.e. "little do they know, she's not through"?
