This song is beautiful and one of my favourites on the album. its really sweet and reminds me of a friend i had named Stevie, of whom i also had a falling out with.

So whenever i listen to this song it reminds me of her.

Basically, its about a girl Lisa was friends with, someone Lisa obviously idolised, but they had a falling out and she misses her.

"Tea leaves in the cup, you're a good friend of mine" - she's sure there's no doubt about it. "How the sober are thirsty for the sweet wine" - she misses her friend now she's no longer there. Wine is a metaphor for Stevie and sober is Stevie's absence.

That sounds about right. A friend of mine is friends with stevie (person in this song). What you've said is correct, but interestingly enough, they're friends again (Lisa and Stevie that is).
