I really love this song. I think it is one of his most spiritually deep songs without being entirely blatant. I really believe this is about sin and our relationship with the Lord. "your tryin so hard to win you keep tryin it's embarrassing" is about trying to get through our struggles or trying to stop our sin on our own, without the aid of the Lord. "The Walls" are our sin, the thing which keeps us from Him but it is Him that will remove that barrier we have placed: "l'll help you break the walls down and bust you out and take you home". The line "when you open up a book and read a thousand lines but you don't really read you just move your eyes" is about going through all the motions of a good spiritual life but having no real relationship. The only part I'm unsure on is: "I know this is random but just this morning I saw the sun reflecting off the lawn window oh I don't know why but I thought you should know".
