The story of my life I can't quite comprehend
don't tell me if you know how it ends
when everywhere you go feels like a mirror maze
and your not sure how your stuck in this place

And you got no where else to go
and your lost within your own home
your tryin so hard to win
you keep tryin it's embarrassin
and how you don't even know
but you know your off the tracks
and how did you get in here?
thinkin how did I get in here?

I'll help you break the walls down
i'll help you break the walls down
and bust you out and take you home
believe you me you are not alone
I'll help you break the walls down

Does anybody know where February went?
I was hoping by now it'd be the end of this
when you open up a book and read a thousand lines
but you don't really read you just move your eyes

And you got no where else to go
and your lost within your own home
your tryin so hard to win
you keep tryin it's embarrassin
and how you don't even know
but you know your off the tracks
and how did you get in here?
thinkin how did I get in here?

I'll help you break the walls down
i'll help you break the walls down
and bust you out and take you home
believe you me you are not alone
I'll help you break the walls down

I know this is random but just this morning I saw the sun
reflecting off the lawn window
oh I don't know why but I thought you should know

When you got no where else to go
and your lost within your own home
your tryin so hard to win
you keep tryin it's embarrassing
and how you don't even know
but you know your off the tracks
and how did you get in here?
thinkin how did I get in here?

I'll help you break the walls down
i'll help you break the walls down
and bust you out and take you home
believe you me you are not alone
I'll help you break the walls down

And all the weight that you carried will disappear
and I will willingly embrace you so you lay your head
so c'mon home c'mon home c'mon home,home

I really love this song. I think it is one of his most spiritually deep songs without being entirely blatant. I really believe this is about sin and our relationship with the Lord. "your tryin so hard to win you keep tryin it's embarrassing" is about trying to get through our struggles or trying to stop our sin on our own, without the aid of the Lord. "The Walls" are our sin, the thing which keeps us from Him but it is Him that will remove that barrier we have placed: "l'll help you break the walls down and bust you out and take you home". The line "when you open up a book and read a thousand lines but you don't really read you just move your eyes" is about going through all the motions of a good spiritual life but having no real relationship. The only part I'm unsure on is: "I know this is random but just this morning I saw the sun reflecting off the lawn window oh I don't know why but I thought you should know". I think this song is incredibly honest and reveals the hope in Christ.

Sooooooooooooo beautiful. Seeing this live was absolutely one of the most incredible moments of my life.

The meaning is pretty obvious. Rescuing someone who is hiding behind their walls of loneliness.

well fans he has done it again, This is first song from his new releases that i automaticly fell in love with. He is such an amazing and "real" artist. When i first heard this i felt like it was about someone who has lost themselves. Then it came on shuffle one day while working out and related to it in a way that i felt fearless. and today YET another meaning came into my head today when i found out that my family member was lost while getting a divorce and leaving her family. so, make this song whatever you please just sit back listen and imagine (: AMILLION KUDOS GOES TO BRYCE AND HIS AMAZING ART!

    Song Meaning

ok im not really that good at analyzing songs (im 14) but i think this ones about breaking emotional walls down and to stop bottling things up. My cousin always tells me that I build walls and dont show any emotions and that i need to let more out, so this song means alot to me

more than being spiritual, i think this song is just about going through the motions of life, and never really living, and how that isn't right, you need to "break the walls down" to really live, to really feel, and to truly enjoy life.

your life might not always be safe and secure all the time, but that doesn't mean you should put up walls to prevent you from living.

To me, I think this song is about someone suffering through depression. It is very common for someone in a depressive episode to put up barriers to protect themselves and they often wear a metaphorical mask in public, just to keep up appearances and get through the day. The singer is trying to help the person overcome these self-defeating protections so that they can live life again.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
