Because most people would rather be alive than dead, but a seriously depressed person might have it reversed. To them, dead is the new alive.

Just give in and kick the bucket.

Do whatever you want with your life, but in the end you'll be dead no matter what.
<i>A quick taste of the poison, a quick twist of the knife</i>
It would just be so easy to end your life, it's so tempting.
