It seems to me that certain lines in this song reference a girl who seeks older men, but it's rather hard to determine if that's actuality or just how I keep hearing it. It doesn't make much sense against the line "we are young" so I'm going to assume it's actually a reference to her youthful behavior. Despite being a woman, she acts like a girl. Afraid of love and commitment perhaps, or just not understanding of it.
I'm also pretty certain the line IS "Now he's gonna firefight, gotta cool the bad." The whole verse sounds like she's saying the girl has issues, and this man, like a father might, battles them. Perhaps, she starts the trouble and he has to calm it? Start a fire to cool?
