And people, don't interpret their songs in the "Christian way" just because the band members are Christians. It's like what Lacey quoted P.O.D. for, "If I'm a plumber, and I'm a Christian.. does that make me a Christian plumber?"
lacey did say something about how you cant be Christian and only make some of your life that way, it has to be all of it and not just how you want it to be.. and she was saying that about her songs though in some form of way their songs can all be made Christian

She also said that if you're a Christian, it affects everything about you. I think people have a way of thinking that Christian bands make only worship songs. I really think the true meaning of a Christian band is that they refuse to write anything that would contradict their faith. If you are a Christian you will act Christ like. If you are a plumber you do your job. It's not like you carry a bible instead of tools, but if there is a way to shed the light of Christ while you do your job. So many Christian artists...

So many Christian artists nowadays just make God their way of getting paid. I read somewhere that the Gospel Music awards (or whatever it is called) held a benefit concert. Tickets were $1000 dollars apiece. Flyleaf may not be a Christian band in the ccm sense, but I think they've proven themselves more than Christian by their lyrical content. Did they become a band to spread a Christian message? Probably not, but I think they are doing what God calls them to do and that is being Christians.
Like unsamani said above, Lacey said they are christians and that is the central focus of their lives. Their faith can't help but have an influence on their songs and lyrics. Especially on Memento Mori, almost EVERY song of that album has a christian conotation to it. So, I would think it's appropriate to say that this song has a christian meaning as well.

"I found something sweet
On the island with the daughters of Eve."..

Eve, biblical figure who is one of the most noted for being a sinner and falling into temptation. Meaning, dwelling in indulgences...
Eve, biblical figure who is one of the most noted for being a sinner and falling into temptation. Meaning, dwelling in indulgences and living as a sinner keeps you caged and eventually heartbroken in the end when it's all gone and there is no pleasure anymore. There is no one to turn to, and what's left is to turn your heart to God which enables you to live freely, not depending on indulgences and fake promises.
This is my favorite song from the new album.

I think the reason people automatically assume it is about Christianity is because the refer to Jesus or God in almost all of their songs...
