I honestly cant figure out the meaning of this song. It sounds like a relationship ending and then it hits this person like a wall after awhile because he is questioning if it really happened. The other meaning I get out of it is this person is having a panic attack due to social phobia or something. I get the panic attack from the chorus when he sings fast I fade away meaning the panic attack comes on quick and then you start hoping that it ends soon and thats the (its almost over again) part. The Slow I sufficate part also goes along with panic attacks because when your having one you cant really explain whats going on besides feeling like you cant breath for a few seconds after. The cold and broken alone part could be that nobody is around to help because the only person who can get panic attacks to go away is yourself?
I honestly have no clue what this song is about though to be honest, just my 2cents lol.
Its over
I didn't want to see it come to this
I wonder
If I will ever see your face again
And I know
That I will find a way to shed the skin
Its simple
I know that I will suffer in the end
Its over
I didn't want to see it come to this
I wonder
If I will ever see your face again
And I know
That I will find a way to shed the skin
Its simple
I know that I will suffer in the end
Defnitly about a relationship! Their relationship ended and he know he
will make it through but suffer without her.

Its hopeless
The end will come and wash it all away
Forsaken
I live for those I lost along the way
And I can't
Remember how it all began to play
I suffer
I live to fight and die...
Its hopeless
The end will come and wash it all away
Forsaken
I live for those I lost along the way
And I can't
Remember how it all began to play
I suffer
I live to fight and die another day
HE doesn't hope for them anymore, he already lost his way without her
But then he remember how it all began and he suffer again,
he'll fight to get her back at the end.
Yes but it is one of the things everyone can relate to. That is why even if a song isn't about a relationship people will think it is, if that makes any sense. Songwriters write about what they know and many of Breaking Benjamin's songs are about relationships ever since they started.

Every song being about relationships is at least a step up from every song being made political. That's what get me irritated.

But this song does make a lot of sense in regard to relationships, it could hold plenty of other meanings, but personally I've had my share of relationships going sour and feeling tormented over them. Plenty of experience living in the past and missing all the chances that have past me by, feeling defeated by the past but still hanging on.

What is it about people and making every freaking song about breakups? There are other subjects, open your mind.
