It does seem like a song about finding Christ, or as I like to say, Christ taking you. He speaks as a man who seems like he wants to believe, but just can't seem to find it.
"If death is victory, how afraid of life can we be?" I love that line. I think it means that if letting go of your pride, giving your life to Christ is the greatest achievement, then how terrible could the world be to us? What more can they do than what God can? We are to fear the Lord and nothing else. I also like to refer to this line as the Martyr's Philosophy. It does describe the mindset of a martyr, good or bad. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
"Only cowards keep dormant their sleeping strength, and soon you'll find, only the fearless will reach their potentials peak" That is also an amazing line, and may be my favorite, because that can go with anyone. Christian or not, if you show no fear to the merciless world, then nothing can keep you from your goals.
i also agree with the thing about finding Christ.
i actually thought of the line "if death is victory, how afraid of life can we be?" in a different way... I interpreted it as heaven is "victory" for Christians; we all want to go there when we die to be with our Lord. so if dying leads you to heaven, or "victory", why would you be afraid of anything of this Earth?

I agree with the idea that this song is about finding Christ or as ex nihilo said, Christ taking you. The line, "If death is victory, how afraid of life can we be" is a great line. I agree that that line does have something to do with letting go of your pride and giving your life to christ. To expand on that, take a look at I Corinthians 15:54-55,
"Then when our dying bodies have been transformed
into bodies that will never die, this scripture will
be fulfilled:
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O Death, where is your victory.
O Death,...

Just a thought.
